LEARNING and LIVING  as ART

Remember when you were a kid and someone asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and you said something awesome like "dinosaur scientist" or "guy who builds rockets"?

Then somewhere between hall passes and standardized tests, that spark got... filed away. Replaced with "practical" things. Safe things. Things that fit on a resume but not in your soul.

Well, what if we told you there's a place where grown men get to be curious again? Where you can explore what actually lights you up without anyone asking for a five-year plan or checking if it's "marketable"?

Welcome to THE LAB. It's like shop class for your life, but with better snacks and zero safety goggles.

About THE LAB

THE LAB is an "all-guys" learning container where you get to:

  • Build something that matters to YOU (not your boss, not your mom, not your partner, YOU)

  • Learn alongside other dudes who are also figuring shit out

  • Turn your curiosity into actual projects instead of just endless scrolling

  • Practice being human in an age where robots are getting weirdly good at everything

Think of it as a garage where guys come together to tinker, except instead of fixing cars, we're building projects that feel like shooting the shit with an old friend, drinking beers with the old man, sitting on your favorite couch, playing ping-pong with a good friend, holding your one-hour-old Godson in your arms, hugging a friend, shaking hands with someone you respect, making the team, playing for a coach who knows how to win, shooting pool at the bar, etc. etc.

The Pillars

ARCANA (Your Creative Crew)

"How do we build quality relationships while building cool stuff?"

This is where you re-discover that the best relationships are built on shared creation.

You'll work with guys who give a shit about what they're making and what you're making in pursuit of that "guys being guys" texture of being human.

ITERATION (Your Process Lab)

"How do we keep showing up without burning out?"

Spoiler alert: sustainable creativity isn't about grinding until you hate what you love. It's about finding rhythms that actually work with your brain instead of against it.

This is where you learn how to build things without destroying yourself in the process.

ATELIER (Your Build Lab)

"What happens when you commit to something that actually energizes you?"

You know what you want to work on. You've just been talking yourself out of it because it seems "impractical" or "weird" or "not what adults do."

This is where you build it anyway. Because life's too short for whatever it is you're doing.

How It Works

Every week, we meet twice. Two sessions. Real conversations. Real building. Real progress on whatever you're called to create.

Each session is capped at 6 guys (plus Six and June), so there's actually space for everyone to be seen and heard. No hiding in the back row. No getting lost in the crowd.

The whole thing builds toward The Atelier—a showcase where you get to share whatever you've been building to the group you've come to know. If you're confident enough, we'll even post it to YouTube or Spotify.

But here's the thing: not everything makes it to the public stage. Dr. Igsby decides what's ready for public consumption, because The Atelier isn't just about you showing off. It's about exemplifying what's possible when people get creative as a way of learning, living, and connecting to each other and to their own aliveness.

It's a new kind of online learning environment. One where loving being alive isn't a nice-to-have add-on, but the actual method for building and being creative.

Forget multiple choice tests. Your final exam is The Atelier—your Masterclass where you get to display whatever cool shit you've been building.

Could be an app. Could be a short film. Could be a business idea. Could be a piece of furniture. Could be a new way to make breakfast that doesn't suck. All you gotta do is teach us what you're learning.

The requirements? It has to be something that makes YOU come alive. It has to be something that we've seen you practicing. It has to be suitable for a public audience. It has to address the learning journey you've been on. It has to follow the "stand by me" etiquette.

Because here's what we're claiming: the best relationships aren't built on shared trauma, sports, or mutual complaints about anything. They're built on shared creation. On the magic that happens when people gather around work that matters and say, "Isn't this so fucking cool?!"

Atelier

First, this isn't about single-sex containers. It's about creating an environment that has the texture of "guys being guys" because we're creating a container where you can:

  • Fail spectacularly without making it a value negative

  • Get genuinely excited about something without having to explain why

  • Talk about the stuff that matters while translating it into "teaching" language

  • Be competitive AND collaborative without someone taking it personally

  • Build things with your hands AND your heart

We're not anti-anyone. We're just pro-creating spaces where specific kinds of magic can happen. And this particular magic happens when guys who want more from life get together and start building.

Why All Guys?

The Vision

"In a world where everything we've known is shifting, teaching and learning become acts of forgiveness and love— preserving what's most beautiful about being human while embracing what's most promising about our technological future."

Spill the Water is School 2.0—not just for students, but for teachers, parents, and anyone who believes that learning needs to be about evolution, not just information.

Spill the Water is about creating classrooms where learning becomes the path through and around the collective challenges we cannot solve on our own.

Where wisdom and technology kiss.
